YAY New Project!

Well, I have to say there is no greater feeling than when you start working on something as an actor! Well, for myself, as an actor, there is no greater feeling. Myself and four beautiful ladies are hoping to put on a play at Christmas time. It is already turning out to be such fun!
We haven’t even started rehearsing yet, but research is going well and I am getting more and more excited by the day! It creates a great chance to showcase ourselves and also to work together again. They are all such incredible women, that I feel this project will be incredible fun!
I cannot disclose what the project is at the moment, but watch this space and you shall know soon enough! It’s going to be spectacular!

Cherish Every Experience, Something Good will Always come out of It.

I say this, meaning in both good and bad experiences. This was a good experience though! On the set of Da Vinci’s Demons, one of the runners took my card and I met up with him the other day. It was very interesting. It is great to talk to someone in the industry, because you always learn something new! This time around, we were talking about one of his scripts that he is trying to finish, and it is great to see how someone else’s mind works when it comes to story telling. We had a good laugh and I do look forward to meeting him again!

Put it into the Universe, and You will get it out of the Universe

So, funny story. Just the other day, I was chatting to a friend of mine about the new show being filmed in Wales, Da Vinci’s Demons. It looks amazing and I’ve heard quite a bit about it. Well, the day after talking about it, I was offered an audition for a small walk-on role. Of course I went for it! I did a lot of research before I went and when I got there, I at least knew the directors name and what he had previously done! Paul Wilmshurst. He is such a great guy, but the audition process was quick as usual and I was out of there.
Thankfully, I got the little part and I shot on Tuesday and Wednesday (9th and 10th). It was great to be on such a big set again. Watching all the crew do their work, analysing the actors and their methods to be present. Everyone was so lovely as well! Tom Riley who plays Da Vinci was really nice and chatty and Gregg Chillin and Eros Vlahos were really sweet. Paul Rhys was also really nice and tried to strike up quite a bit of conversation. I have to admit I was rather shy and nervous being around such successful actors, feeling like a new little school girl being talked to by all the popular kids and not knowing what to say, in case I embarass myself!
By the end of the shoot, however, I felt a lot more comfortable. The director and 1st AD made me feel so comfortable and at ease it was just down to me doing my job. I had one scene that I featured in the most and it was my time to focus and do my job to the best of my ability. It seemed to have worked as well! Once I was released, the director and 1st AD told me they would try and get me a credit because I was really good. Paul said I “made the scene” and even Tom Riley, who was watching on the monitor, complemented me.
I am thrilled with the experiences that came out of those two days! I made such great friends with the crew and wardrobe. Such great days of filming is enough to kindle the flame already burning inside of me! Fingers crossed, I will get to work with them again! And it goes to show, think positively, what you put in, you will get out! From a walk-on to a feature! I truly am on a cloud =]
